Location and Entry
Hua Hin Sport Villa is located 3km south of town just off the main street. If you don’t fancy walking, there are songthaews which go there very cheaply every 15 minutes – you just need to flag them down anywhere on the main road as they do not have set bus stops – and check they are going your way as different colours have different routes!
The gym entrance is not visible from the main road, but turn right (if approaching from the centre of Hua Hin) into the street and you’ll shortly be able to see the pool on your left. Keep walking past it and then turn left into the main entrance there and pay at reception. The sign states 80 baht per day, but it’s only 30 a day just to use the rather attractive pool if you have less gym-inclined friends and family!
Facilities
Hua Hin Sport Villa is fairly small but well-airconditioned and there is a nice clean toilet inside, with further toilets and showering facilities available by the pool.
The equipment is pretty modern (in contrast to the carpet!) with cardio equipment consisting of 3-4 bikes, 2 crosstrainers and 2 treadmills.

There are two racks of dumbbells, one with weights up to 20kg and another with heavier weights in pounds, which go up to 50lbs. You’ll also find a few adjustable barbells although no Olympic ones. There is however a Smith machine and a couple of sets of pull up bars. You’ll also find an inclined abs bench. There is plenty of space for floor work in the middle of the room and a couple of good quality mats you can use there, in addition to a roller for abs work.
There were only a couple of people when I visited and an English speaking radio station with music helped inspire my workout in the otherwise quiet room.
Summary
A bargain for the price and a very relaxing atmosphere by the pool if you fancy lounging around it afterwards! Also the cheapest gym I found in Hua Hin.
