Opening Hours: Mon – Fri: 6:00 – 21:00, Sat and Sun: 7:00 – 21:00
Cost: 200k dong per visit or 2 million per month
Location
Dalat Fitness & Spa is located two floors up, inside Dalat Center, which, funnily enough, is in the centre of Dalat, just a couple of hundred metres from the market. As I write this, the gym is only one month old. Go inside Dalat Center, which is easily visible from the outside and looks like a mall. Take the stairs/elevator up two floors, turn left and go along the corridor to the gym.
Facilities
This extremely attractive facility is brand new, colourful and as gyms go, pretty stunning! I was told it had just opened a month ago in June 2019. The gym is medium sized, offers free towels and water and key operated lockers. There are a couple of toilets and shower, naturally all in pristine condition at this new facility. You’ll also find a sauna and steam room; these are found in the changing rooms, ie single sex.

Weights
Here you’ll find dumbbell free-weights up to 40kg and barbells from 10 – 30kg in 5kg increments. There are a full set of both straight and curled barbells, along with several benches. You’ll also see a Smith machine, squat rack and several adjustable bench press racks, along with a few sets of pull up bars. These are of varying heights, which is fortunate as I couldn’t see any step-boards to stand on to get up there. You’ll also see an assisted pull-ups machine.
In addition to these you’ll find a fairly extensive range of resistance equipment. These include a lat pulldown, pec deck, low row, preacher curl station, shoulder press, leg curl, inclined leg press, ab and adductor machines, hip extension and leg extension.
Wondering where the abs benches are? You’ll find them lurking behind the boxing ring, along with a hip extension bench.
Functional Training
The first thing you’ll probably notice when you enter this stunning facility is a brand new rig and complete functional training area. Gym toys include kettlebells up to 30lbs, medicine balls, up to 12lbs, lightweight dumbbells, TRXs and of course, overhead bars on the rig. There’s a pretty nice astro-turf area too. I looked for mats but failed to find them – the kind staff got one out of the studio for me; there was a class going on or I’d have gone in myself. Would have liked to see some mats available in the main gym area.
Studio
The club hosts 4 Zumba classes daily and 3 Yoga classes. Although I only saw the studio briefly, due to it being occupied, it looked to be of a good size and like the rest of the facility is brand new.
Cardio
I found 2 recumbent bikes, 8 treadmills, 2 crosstrainers and 2 curved treadmills. All equipment looked literally brand new and top of the range.
Summary
Dalat Fitness & Spa has truly superb facilities which can’t be rivalled in terms of their age – the gym only opened a month prior to my visit. It’s also extremely well located, bang in the centre of Dalat. The downside is that it’s the most expensive gym in the area at 200k a visit and not the biggest facility I’ve been to, since Rosy Gym and Spa and Gym Tai Nguyen Fitness & Yoga 3 are both larger and cheaper facilities, just much further north of town and so potentially less convenient.
If money is no issue and you’re staying centrally, then enjoy a little taste of luxury here!
